Our Introduction

Kidney and Hypertension Care Center (KHCC) is a private practice which provides consulting services in the field of Nephrology (i.e., kidney diseases).   We are located in Texas Medical Center (TMC)  and in South-East Houston.   KHCC has experienced trained staff that can provide treatment for a very wide range of kidney problems like kidney stones, polycystic kidney, kidney inflammation, kidney infection, kidney failure , etc.   We can provide comprehensive treatment for acute kidney injury (AKI),  chronic kidney disease (CKD),  end stage renal disease (ESRD).   We can create and maintain accesses of dialysis therapies and can also perform kidney biopsies.    We provide dialysis treatments to a sizeable dialysis patient population at several dialysis centers near Texas Medical Center and in South-East part of Houston.  We manage dialysis treatment plans with higher level of care to reduce risk of dialysis related hospitalization of ESRD patients.   We can also provide treatment for high blood pressure (see blood pressure chart here) associated with kidney disease,   For End Stage Renal Disease (ESRD) patients, we can co-ordinate and manage smooth transition from dialysis to kidney transplantation in consultation with world's best kidney transplant surgeons at Texas Medical Center.  At our clinics, we have a high turnover rate of dialyis patients tansitioning to kidney transplant.  Close co-ordination and monitoring of dialysis patients is the key to moving them to a successful kidney transplant.

Chronic kidney disease is rapidly rising to the status of a national epidemic.   In Texas, state data points to a larger-than-expected prevalence of the disease,   causing concern among medical professionals.   Patients with high blood pressure,  diabetes and the elderly are at higher risk of developing kidney disease.   At KHCC,  we take pride in providing timely care to our patients with high blood pressure and kidney disease.   Our goal is to provide numerous avenues of care to our patients and their families with proper understanding of the entire process of their treatment.   We also provide assistance to them in making informed decisions in improving their well being.
